1 – Where Do I Start?
The UTIA Spotlights Block is a custom block. The UTIA Spotlights Block is used to highlight spotlights that are found on the Outstanding in Their Field website on other UTIA websites.
Click on the UTIA Spotlights icon in UTIA Custom Blocks.
The Spotlights Block will appear on the web page.
2 – Selecting Spotlights Categories
In the right sidebar, you will find the different categories that you can use to filter the Spotlights Block.
Click within the Select Group(s) box to open up the selection options for Groups. To select a group, click in the box to the left of each group name (Alumni, Faculty, Staff or Student) to select or deselect that group to be highlighted in the Spotlights Block. This is a multi-select field, more than one group can be selected. All four groups should be selected if all the groups should be highlighted in the Spotlights Block.
Click within the Select Area(s) box to open up the selection options for Areas.
To select an area click in the box to the left of each area name to select or deselect that area to be highlighted in the Spotlights Block. This is a multi-select field, more than one area can be selected, if need be. If you don’t see an area in this list, there is no Spotlight for that area.
Up to three spotlights can be highlighted on a webpage. The Spotlights Block will show the three most recent spotlights that meets the group(s) and area(s) selected for this block.
The Spotlights Block can be used in a row layout, to do so, set the spotlight count to 1 and the full-width layout needs to be off.
This block can be used in a full-width layout, toggle the Full Width Layout to on and the full-width layout is shown in the Editor.
NOTE: The URL for the Read More Spotlights button will not have the ability to be changed, like the News block. It will always point to the Outstanding in Their Field website.
